Pune’s first ever ‘Art mob!’

The ‘Art Mob’ was an attempt to take Art out of cemented walls and galleries and make it reach to the masses.

The event brought all the budding artists, photographers and musicians under one roof- all connected to passionately doing things they love.

The event began at 3 pm where the young artists and photographers displayed their works right in midst of crowd, on the roads of Pune along with a percussion of symphony. Artists acted as a wall holding their work.

“Art to me is expression, expression to one self and the people”, said Sharvari Vicharya, a medical student from Bhartiya Vidyapeeth College, Pune, who loves painting abstract concepts.

Yash Jain, a student from Symbiosis School of Economics on the other hand is passionate about putting ‘Realism’ on the canvas. His artistic works revolves around the busy New York City, sunset in France and Italy like we know it. ‘I would rather paint what I see and connect to rather what doesn’t exist’ he added.

Not only their work but their minds are beautiful too exclaimed the spectators. Just when the spectators were busy admiring the pictures soulful music took over the ambience.

“Music started off as a simple pastime, and went on to become my passion. I deeply love music, and it wouldn’t be wrong to say that more often than not, I use it as a coping mechanism”, said Richa Peter Topno from Fergusson college, Pune who made the audience fall in love with her voice by singing ‘Radioactive, Toxic and Teri meri kahani.’

The crowd and the loud cheering was a clear evident about the huge success of the event.

Art mob has successfully been executed in Delhi and Mumbai too. It gave the artists and the musicians just the opportunity to know and grow.
