Pune's Railway Station Now Opens 'Maharaja AC Suite' In The Heritage Building

Pune, 18th July 2022: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has recently opened retiring rooms in the Pune station’s ‘heritage building’. Inside the ‘heritage building’ the IRCTC has opened waiting rooms with dormitories, including the “Maharaja AC suite” and deluxe private rooms with five-star hotel amenities.

According to the IRCTC, separate, regular, non-AC dorms for male and female passengers, AC dorms, non-AC deluxe rooms, one deluxe AC room with a king-size bed, and one unique, fully furnished “Maharaja AC suite” with two big beds, sofas, and attached bathrooms have been made for passengers.

There are 50 beds in each of the two dorm rooms for male and female passengers, and three further rooms—the Lotus, Jasmine, and Tulip—have been converted into different types of lodging.

All of these hotel rooms are distributed in blocks of three, six, nine, twelve, and twenty-four hours. The Maharaja suite is offered for Rs 2,500 for 24 hours, while the standard non-AC dormitory starts at 200 for three hours. A full family can stay in this suite, which has all the amenities they require, including beds, bathrooms, storage, mobile charging stations, hot water, etc. Only through the IRCTC website or mobile application, passengers can reserve lodging for stays of up to a day while they wait for their train.
