Pune’s real estate sector should focus on Ring Road region to contribute in city’s development- Kiran Gitte

– PMRDA commissioner made a presentation on ring road and town planning scheme in front of members of CREDAI Pune Metro

Pune, March 6, 2018 : Kiran Gitte, Commissioner and CEO, Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) mentioned that the actual work of ring road project in Pune and the surroundings is going to begin shortly. He also advised that the real estate developers in Pune should focus on the ring road region and contribute for it’s development in the coming years. The PMRDA commissioner made a special presentation about ring road in front of the real estate fraternity in an event recently organized at CREDAI Pune Metro.

Gitte stressed that, The ring road project is important to ease the traffic situation in Pune, as well as for the development in the district. ”The proposed ring road will be of a width of 110 meters which will include an 8 lane highway, service road and national highway junction. Around 95% part of the proposed ring road is just 10Km away from the city. Development in the ring road region will be lead through the Town Planning Scheme. The road will be completed in 6 steps out of which the actual work of the first 2 steps will start in few months. Taking this into account, Pune’s developers should see the development prospects in the area. This will be beneficial for the real estate sector as the road connectivity, water provisions and other basic needs will be fulfilled by PMRDA, which in turn be useful for the citizen.” said Gitte.

CREDAI Pune Metro President Shrikant Parajpe said that the town planning will help to solve the problem of traffic as well as of pollution. The developers are in support of the ring road and are ready to take up real estate projects in that region. He also said that the road will prove to be beneficial for the Puneites and also for the people coming to the city from other areas. It is a good thing that PMRDA is assuring the road connectivity and availability of water in the region which can boost the development, he mentioned. Paranjpe presented the draft of the MOU which will be signed between land owners in ring road region and PMRDA and also assured that CREDAI Pune Metro will help for the land acquisition as well as for the speedy development of the ring road.
