Pune’s Student Becomes first to get full scholarship for BFA in Ivy league Cornell University

Pune: Vaidehi Reddy have became first Indian Student to get full scholarship of 74,000 US dollars for the course of BFA in Ivy league Cornell University.

It is first time in 153 years history of Cornell University that Indian student have got full scholarship for BFA course.

Recently, Vaidehi has given HSC examination. And will start her four-year ‘Bachelor of Fine Arts’ course at Cornell university in August 2018.

On this occasion Vaidehi said, I am very happy to get the full scholarship from cornell. I always wanted to study in Cornell University’s AAP (College of Art, Architecture and Planning) department as it is consider very prestigious and one of the best in the world. Also my favorite female artists Louise Lawler and Susan Rothenberg were alumni of the university. I wish my success will inspire and help other students wanting to study art internationally.

Vaidehi have won many awards in past. In year 2014 she won the Google doodle competition. And in 2016 she was the winner of Google’s ‘Web Ranger’ competition. At that time she also got the opportunity to visit Google’s headquarters in usa. In 2015 she also won prestigious Tianjin international painting competition organized by the Chinese government.

Vaidehi’s father is working in the Indian Army. Her mother works in the field of education.
