Pune 10th July 2026: Last fortnight, Punyadham Ashram’s ‘Clean, Beautiful and Healthy School’ initiative was implemented over the past year in 20 schools across the Kondhwa, Katraj and Undri areas of Pune. The primary objective of this initiative was to create awareness among students about cleanliness and health and to encourage them to carry these values and practices to their families and communities.

The evaluation of the participating schools was carried out by representatives of Punyadham Ashram through surprise visits, without any prior notice to the schools. The assessment was based on various parameters, including cleanliness of the school premises, health-related activities, student participation and overall maintenance of the campus.

Based on this evaluation, Huzurpaga Girls’ English Medium School, Mangdewadi, Katraj, Pune was awarded the First Prize; Dada Gujar Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Mohammadwadi, Pune received the Second Prize; and Rasiklal Dhariwal English Medium School, Kondhwa, Pune secured the Third Prize.
The rolling trophy for the First Prize was presented to the winning school by Mata Krishna Kashyap, Head of Punyadham Trust, and former District Collector Mrs. Leena Mehendale.

To ensure that this initiative continues in the future and to encourage all schools to strengthen the cleanliness movement, every participating school was presented with a Cleanliness Song, a Cleanliness Pledge, a Certificate of Appreciation and a Cleanliness Kit worth ₹2,000.

The initiative will continue next year as well. All participating schools will once again be assessed through surprise inspections without prior notice, and outstanding schools will be selected and honoured based on their performance.
