Rajbhasha Day celebrated at Pune Railway Station

Pune- 27 February is celebrated as Marathi Bhasha Day, remembrance of great Marathi Laureate Vishnu Waman Shirwadkar or Kusumagraj as his birth day,at Pune Division of Central Railway. to work in Rajbhasha is moral responsibility of every one said Milind Deouskar, Divisional Railway Manager, at the function which was held at Pune Railway Station.

This year 15 officers and 136 employees of Railway were felicited for their outstanding work in Rajbhasha,with cash and certificates.
This function was celebration as Rajbhasha Day and Marathi Bhasha Day. Marathi and Hindi both are having same script and both are oldest language as well as as both are similar languages.

Hindi is not only Rajbhasha but also a language of customer satisfaction and earning and in this development we also get the support of Marathi language said Prafull Chandra, Additional divisional manager and Rajbhasha Officer.

Defence department of Pune Division railway was awarded best department for outstanding work in Hindi language,best station trophy was won by Jejuri Railway Station.
For Remarkable work in Marathi language ,first prize awarded to Laxman Ghuge,sr technician at diesel loco shed and second prize won by Pravin More,for his book in Marathi ‘Vijeta Nehmi Jaga Asto’.
Indrayani,a special edition of Rajbhasha Patrika was also launched.
