Ravichandran Ashwin jumps to 2nd spot in ICC Test Bowler Rankings, on brink to replace Pat Cummins
Delhi, 15th February 2023: India’s ace off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has climbed to the second spot in the ICC Men’s Test Bowler Rankings, following his brilliant performance in the second Test against England in Chennai. With his eight-wicket haul, including a five-wicket haul in the second innings, Ashwin helped India secure a commanding 317-run victory. Ashwin now holds a career-best rating of 850 points, a mere 13 points behind Australia’s Pat Cummins, who currently leads the Test bowler rankings. The Chennai-based bowler has overtaken James Anderson and Neil Wagner to reach the second spot. With his consistent form and impressive display, Ashwin is poised to become the world’s top-ranked Test bowler and could soon overtake Cummins in the rankings.
