redBus mobilises Flying Squad at Sangamwadi to assist bus travellers ahead of Christmas
21 December 2019 Pune- With Christmas round the corner, brands are going the extra mile to woo customers and be a part of their celebrations. There are numerous examples of how some brands make it special for their customers, apart from offering the usual discounts and coupons. As a special initiative, redBus, the country’s largest online bus ticketing platform deployed a ‘flying squad’ at Sangamwadi, the epicentre of boarding private busses for interstate and intra-state travel, from Pune.
A team of 8 on-ground staff members from redBus, wearing uniform and cap were present in the area from 6 PM till midnight on Friday, 20th December (The start of the long Christmas weekend), to help people identify the exact location and departure details of their buses. The initiative spared thousands of people the agony of not being able to locate their travel agents or buses, amidst an unrelenting crowd. redBus also set up a command centre for the first time, within a kiosk that was manned by their customer team, offering real-time information on arrivals and departures of buses for the benefit of travellers. Besides this, redBus had also sent out a mail with a detailed map of Sangamwadi to its customers on Thursday.
Lakhs of people travel out of the city during the Christmas weekend and buses cater to a substantial load. The above activity was a special gesture from redBus, for people to begin their festive journey on a happy note.
