Research award for Dr Sahu
Instituted by the Nag Foundation, an annual award for recognizing the research work of clinical oncologists and their most innovative research ideas, this year, ‘The Surabhi Nag Research Award 2015’ was presented to Delhi based Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sahoo, Assistant Professor, Medical Oncology, AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science). Dr. Sahoo has received this award for his research on Gallbladder cancer, a very uncommon disease which is difficult to treat and is often diagnosed in advanced stages.
This award was presented to him at the hands of chief guest Padma Vibhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar and Dr. Shona Nag, the Founder Trustee of The Nag Foundation. The award was in the form of a memento and cheque of Rs. 5 Lac. The award function was held in Pune at 3 Boat Club Road on Feb 29th.
