Revised CET Schedule Announced; Changes Made to Avoid Exam Overlaps in Maharashtra

Pune, 8th January 2025: The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) has announced a revised tentative schedule for various Common Entrance Tests (CETs) for admission to professional undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses. The changes were made following concerns raised by students and parents regarding overlapping dates with CBSE Class 12 examinations.
Key Changes in the Schedule
The earlier announced dates clashed with CBSE Class 12 exams, particularly for BBA, BCA, BMS CET, and the CET for five-year law courses. Considering the demands for rescheduling, the CET Cell has now revised the exam dates.
- MHT-CET (Engineering, Pharmacy, and Agriculture): April 9–19 (unchanged)
- Three-Year Law CET: March 20–21
- Five-Year Law CET: April 28
- MCA CET: March 23
- MBA CET: April 1–3
- BBA, BCA, BMS CET: April 30–May 3
The detailed schedule has been uploaded on the official CET Cell website.
Registration for Five-Year Law CET Begins
The registration process for various CETs is already underway. The CET Cell has now opened registrations for the five-year law CET, with the application deadline set for February 2, 2025.
Students are advised to check the revised schedule on the CET Cell website and ensure timely registration to avoid missing deadlines.
Addressing Overlaps
The decision to revise the schedule comes as a relief to students and parents who had voiced concerns about managing the clash between board exams and CETs. This move by the CET Cell aims to provide students with adequate preparation time for both sets of exams.
