Richa Chadda unveils Max Retail autumn collection

The Inorbit Mall, Pune dazzled with the star cast of the movie Masaan, as they came to launch the new autumn collection of Max Retail, a lifestyle departmental store, here on Sunday.

The collection was unveiled by actress Richa Chadda who spoke on fashion & new trends, much to the amusement of the crowd, she also talked about the great reviews pouring in for her critically acclaimed movie Masaan.

The director of the movie, Neeraj Ghaywan, and other lead debutante actors, Shweta Tripathi and Vicky Kaushal were also present.

In an exclusive “Meet and Greet with RICHA CHADDA”, the actress showcased the new collection to the consumers. Out of the large crowd that gathered at the store to have a glimpse of the star, few lucky customers got the chance to interact with her & take her autograph.

The spectacular launch of Autumn’15 collection also highlighted Max Fashion’s brand campaign for this season, ‘Today’s For Small Joys’.

The collection include a fresh palette of boho and tribal prints and sleek silhouettes. The Men’s wear range balances style and informality, while staying sharp with rich oxblood tones.

The women’s wear collection, on the other hand, witnesses a domination of bold along with versatile with Afro-Aztec prints and straight to flowing silhouettes. Kid’s wear gets a fun look with versatile layering.

Chadda also introduced the cast to the onlookers who filled up the aisles of the three floors hooting and whistling in excitement.

The movie Masaan, a small budget film is one of the first movies to win two awards at the Cannes Film Festival. Neeraj Ghaywan, the award winning director, explained how special the movie was to him. “The movie is about hope and moving on with two parallel stories connected by the Ganges” he said.

Richa Chadda and Neeraj Ghaywan shared memorable moments of their shooting experience.

“We are not here to promote the film, but to celebrate the success of it,”Chadda proudly said.

Vicky Kaushal and Shweta Tripathi were overwhelmed by the crowd’s response and talked about the sound track of the movie, with Vicky Kaushal singing the chorus of the most popular song of the Masaan, “Tu kisi Rail si Guzarti hai”.

The event ended on a gala note, with the star cast throwing out the soundtrack CDs for the audience to catch. “We are extremely thankful for your support in making Masaan a success especially in Pune, which is a city very close to my heart”, the director added in the end.
