The three rivers Pavana, Mula and Indrayani pass through the industrial town. Nevertheless, it will benefit the land developers as it will fetch them a huge amount. Meanwhile, this decision has benefited the residents of Kiwale, Punawale, Talwade, Chikhali, Borhadewadi, Moshi, Dudalgaon and Charlohali who have their lands reserved in such zones.

According to the resolution, the 12.5 meter green zone near a canal and 30 meters from the river now can be turned into a residential zone. For any kind of construction in the blue and red zone near the river will require permission from the Irrigation Department.
