Siliguri (West Bengal), February 16, 2024: In a thrilling announcement, Rotary Club District 3131 unveiled plans for the highly anticipated 7 Sisters Car Rally set to kick off this February and March. The rally promises to be an exhilarating journey across the picturesque landscapes of India’s northeastern states, weaving through the capitals, and main tourist attractions, and even venturing to four international borders before culminating back in Siliguri on March 4th.

With 56 enthusiastic participants hailing from various Rotary clubs within District 3131, the rally is poised to be a remarkable showcase of camaraderie and adventure. Spearheaded by the seasoned leadership of Past District Governor Subodh Joshi and rally pioneer Rtn Hemant Doshi, alongside Rtn Parag Kanekar, the event embodies Rotary’s commitment to social awareness and community engagement.

Embracing key societal issues, the rally will serve as a platform for promoting crucial causes such as environmental protection, Organ Donation, Literate India (Naya BHARAT), and combating Drug Abuse. Rotarians, including Rtn. Sarang Matade, express their dedication to these causes through innovative means, including street plays, flash mobs, surprise performances, and collaborative efforts with local Rotary clubs along the rally route.

Adding to the excitement, all 15 participating cars will proudly display branding representing the spirit of NAYA BHARAT, symbolizing the collective vision for a progressive and inclusive India.
