Rupali Chakankar: Over 1,400 Obscene Photos, 350 Victims Linked to Khadse’s Son-in-Law

Pune, 7th August 2025: Maharashtra State Commission for Women President Rupali Chakankar has made a shocking revelation about ex-Cabinet Minister Eknath Khadse’s son-in-law, Pranjal Khewalkar, calling him a psychopath. Chakankar, speaking to the media, claimed that the Commission has received reports based on data recovered from of his phone, in which he had stored obscene images of women, allegedly exploited after being sedated.

Chakankar, speaking in Pune, also revealed that Khewalkar and his accomplices allegedly promised film roles to women and then take advantage of them. Hinting at his possible connection to a human trafficking scam, Chakankar claimed she is constrained from revealing more, or else she would fully expose the crimes being committed by him.

Pranjal Khewalkar, son-in-law of former Maharashtra Minister Eknath Khadse, was arrested along with six individuals by Pune Police for a rave party. Multiple shocking things regarding this case have already come forward. Khadse, however, has maintained his stance that this is a politically motivated move intended to defame his family. His daughter and Khewalkar’s wife, Rohini Khadse, has said the same and has been vocal in defending her husband.

However, Chakankar, already under pressure for action against the accused, stated that 1,497 obscene photos and 234 obscene videos of women and girls on the accused’s phone. She said women were sedated, raped, and videos were recorded. A housemaid’s inappropriate video was also found, Chakankar claimed.

She said the Commission has given instructions to Pune Police. The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) is handling the case. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) must be formed and must include women officers too, Chakankar demanded. She also said this is organized crime and an act that defames Pune. She added that once all information comes out, this might be the biggest racket ever exposed in the country.

She said that all these accused are psychos, and more than 350 girls are involved as victims. Khewalkar himself is seen in many videos, Chakankar claimed. She concluded by saying there should be no sympathy for Rohini Khadse, if she is supporting this, then she is complicit in the crime.
