Pune, 10th May 2018: After the resounding success of health screening camp organised with PMC for the citizens of Pune in the month of April 2018, Sahyadri Super Speciality Hospital Deccan Gymkhana today organised a special health screening camp for senior PMC officials, head of departments and senior police officials. The camp organised at Sahyadri Hospital Deccan was inaugurated at the hands of Municipal Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation -Saurabh Rao in the presence of Additional Municipal Commissioner, PMC -Sheetal Teli Ugale, Additional Municipal Commisioner- Mr. Rajendra Nimbalkar, Assistant Medical Officer of Health PMC – Dr.Anjali Sabne – and Chairman, Sahyadri Group of Hospitals- Dr. Charudutt Apte.

Speaking on the occasion Saurabh Rao said that most of the times we pay negligence towards going for routine check-ups until we see any symptoms or fall ill. With a recent personal medical experience i also realized that regular health check-up is key to good health. It is mandatory for IAS and IPS officers above the age of 40 to undergo routine medical check-ups without fail since the lifestyle of these officers are very hectic and they find no time to pay attention towards themselves. I am sure that such proactive initiatives and camps will help the officials to keep a watch on their health.

Adding more to this, Dr. Anjali Sabne mentioned that PMC in association with Sahyadri Hospitals recently organised a mega health check-up camp for common people, which got tremendous response with participation from more than 650 Punekars. We will continue with these kinds of initiatives to create health awareness among the masses.

Dr. Charudutt Apte said that we will continue to work with PMC on well-being of their employees and citizens in general. PMC can set an example with such camps and follow up on the reports as it would be beneficiary for the employee health.
