Sandhya Suryavanshi Wins ‘Hunt For Secret Superstar’ At Reality Show For Orphans

Pune, 25th August 2021: In order to bring joy to the lives of orphans, NGO Care for You has come up with the concept of ‘Hunt for the Secret Superstar’, the first reality show in Maharashtra in which only children from orphanages participate and like other famous reality shows, this show was also filled with utmost zest, joy, and excitement.

Care for You organized ‘Hunt for the Secret Superstar’ with Pimpri Chinchwad Police Department, Women and Child Development Department, and DY Patil College and Silver Group.

In January 2020, auditions for the competition were held at five major centres in Maharashtra in which hundreds of children from orphanages in various cities of Maharashtra participated. In the first round, 47 singers were selected from more than 140 children, from the second and third rounds, 12 singers were selected for the grand finale.

These 12 singers were trained online for five months. Five days before the grand finale, accommodation and training of these children were arranged in Pimpri Chinchwad.

On August 21, the grand finale of the ‘Hunt for Secret Superstar’ competition was held in the auditorium of Dr DY Patil College. Well-known singers Vaishali Samant, Shadab Faridi, and AltamashFaridi were the judges for this grand finale.

The grand finale was attended by well-known singer Avadhoot Gupte (as a guest of honour), Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash, Women and Child Development Commissioner Rahul More, Care for You founder CA Payal Sarda Rathi and CA Roshan Rathi, Silver Group founder Santosh Barne. The program was moderated by renowned anchor Sachin Kumbhar.

During the ceremony, 44 Corona Warriors, including doctors, police and social activists, were felicitated.

In the first round of the grand finale, 12 singers performed their songs on different themes. Out of these, Super Six singers were selected. Sandhya Suryavanshi, a blind girl from Anam Prem, Ahmednagar, emerged as the grand winner in this very tense
contest. Sakshi Narwade of Snehalaya, Ahmednagar stood second and Chaitali Sakrikar of Sampark Balgram, Maval, Pune grabbed the third place.

Around Rs 1.5 lakh was given as prizes and help to 12 great singers, 3 grand winners and 12 organizations from which these singers came. Also, Care for You has taken full responsibility for the music and further education of these great winners.

Vaishali Samant, Faridi Brothers and Avadhoot Gupte lauded the children for overcoming difficult hurdles in life and maintaining their love for music. Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash was the co-ordinator for this event and Officers and men from Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commisionerate took efforts for
this event.
