Sanjeev Kumar Sabhavat, Ramzan Momin bag gold medal in ‘India Skills – 2018’

Pune, October 11, 2018: The IndiaSkills 2018, the largest skill competition to select the final competitors who shall represent India at WorldSkills, Kazan, Russia in 2019 was recently concluded at Aerocity, New Delhi. Laborers trained under KUSHAL CREDAI Pune, the skill training wing of CREDAI Pune Metro have shone in this competition. Sanjeev Kumar Sabhavat from Maharashtra has won the Gold with cash prize of Rs.1 lakh in the competition in Wall & Floor Tiling Skill, while Ramjan Momin won the gold medal in Bricklaying Skill.

KUSHAL CREDAI took up the responsibility to train in total of 13 regional Finalist in Wall and Floor tiling and Bricklaying Skill to compete at the Indiaskills 2018 Mohammed Rabith and Damesh Raj both from Kerala were Silver and Bronze Medalist in Wall & Floor Tiling Skill respectively. Karan Charan Sahoo from Orissa and Megharaj Rathalavat from Telangana won Silver and Bronze Medal in Bricklaying skills.

The competition was amongst over 400 Competitors from 27 States and Union Territories competing in 49 Skills. The winners were conferred the award by Anantkumar Hegde, Honb’le Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and a well-known film Director Subhash Ghai, Chairman, The Media and Entertainment Skill Council of India.

J P Shroff, Chairman, KUSHAL CREDAI Pune was the Chief Jury for Wall and Floor Tiling Skill along with Paallavi Kothari as the Expert for Wall and Floor Tiling. Likewise, Kavish Thakwani was the Chief Jury for Bricklaying along with Parshuram Naik the Medallion winner in WorldSkills 2015 and Rohim Momin the Medallion winner in WorldSkills 2017 as the Expert for Bricklaying.
