Satymurth And Verma In Sixth Round At Yonex Sunrise V V Natu Memorial All-India Ranking Badminton Tournament

Pune, 19th October 2022: Satyamurthy (Tamil Nadu) and Aditya Verma (Uttar Pradesh) had to struggle hard before beating their respective rivals to enter the sixth round in the men’s singles section of the Yonex Sunrise V V Natu memorial all India senior ranking badminton championship at Modern PDMBA complex, on Wednesday.

Satyamurthy defeated Himish Das (Assam) 15-12, 10-15, 15-9, while Aditya Verma ousted S Bariya (Gujarat) 15-8, 8-15, 15-13.

Unseeded Abhay Pratap managed to get past gritty Lakshay Malik 15-10, 8-15, 15-12, to enter the men’s fifth round, while another unseeded shuttler, Aditya Gupta, got the better off Ankit Mondal, 15-10, 13-15, 15-11, also make the second round in the same category.

Adya Parashar had to struggle hard before prevailing over Deepali Gupta, 15-10, 11-15, 15-8, while Nishita Verma edged past B M Neeraj 15-9, 16-18, 15-11. Both Adya and Nishita sailed into the second round of the women’s singles.
