SBI Nominee Registration Process: Can add nominee’s name online at home, know the process

New Delhi, February 4, 2021: SBI has introduced a new way of adding a nominee to one’s account. SBI said via a tweet, “We have good news! Now SBI consumers can log in by visiting our branch or visiting their website.”

You can add a nominee in three ways

1) Going to the bank branch

2) Through SBI Net Banking

3) Through SBI Mobile Banking

How to update nominee

You can now update the nominee of your bank account through net banking. Visit onlinesbi.com. Go to the request and inquiry option. After that, you will see many options, from which you must choose the option of online nomination. If you have more than one account at SBI, then you will see all that information. Select the correct option and fill in the information related to the nominee. When this process is complete, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. The nominee’s name will be added after the OTP verification. Nominees can be created, canceled, or set aside at any time during their lifetime by the account holder.

If the account holder dies due to any reason, the nominee has full rights over the amount deposited in that account. In the absence of a nominee, the account holder’s money remains in the bank.
