Search for Victor Sangale Continues….Missing Since September 25

Pune, October 8, 2019: It’s been 14 days since 26-year-old cycling enthusiast Victor Sangale went missing in Wanowrie during the rain fury on the night of September 25. His family members and friends have searched till Bhigwan, 125 km from Pune, in the backwaters of Ujjani dam.

 

Of late the government machinery is not much as desired by them to look for Victor, his friends said. On the contrary, the friends themselves and Victor’s brother Major Stephan Sangale, have searched the entire stretch of the nullah till it joins the Mula-Mutha river in Kalyaninagar and then the river stretch for over 100 km. Till now they have not got any clue of Victor, an amputee and twice survivor of cancer.

 

According to officials from Wanowrie police station under Pune city police, they searched for Victor with the help of other agencies but could not find him. Victor’s car was found in the nullah between St.Patrick’s Cathedral and Vidya Bhavan College.

 

Victor, who is a cycling enthusiast and had returned from an expedition to North-East states. He was on his way to a cousin’s house when his car was swept away from a bridge Bhairoba Nullah near Ganga Satellite society in Wanowrie. They were speaking over the phone when Victor went missing over the bridge. He had informed his cousin about the rising water level in the nullah.
