Selfie costs life of engineering student in Khandala

Pune, June 22:  A 20-year old mechanical engineering student lost his life after falling near Amrutanjan bridge in Khandala on Wednesday morning.

The deceased Tanvel Kadam, a native of Nashik, lived in Kusgaonwadi in Lonavala. He was studying third year mechanical engineering at Sinhgad Institute of Technology in Lonavala.

According to police, Kadam had reached the new bridge near old Amrutanjan Bridge around 11 am alone on his bike. After sometime he lost balance fell down while trying to click selfie. He died on the spot.

Kadam had gone to his native place for two months after end of his second year exams. The colle was to reopen fromThursday so he had returned to Lonavala on Tuesday, police said.
