SEVA initiative of Pune city police wins another national level award
SEVA initiative of Pune city police wins another national level award “ICC social impact awards – empowering the rural population” at an event held in Kolkata yesterday.
WPI Shilpa Chavan and pooja Bhagat, a seva cell staff went to Kolkata and presented about the initiative to the jury members and awards were also announced simultaneously.
The event was held in The Oberoi Grand, and awards were conferred by Hon. Mrs Shashi Panja Minister of Women and Child Development West Bengal. Jury members included Mrs Rakhi Sarkar, Chairperson of Jury, Prof. Anuradha Lohiya, Vice Chancellor, Presidency University, Miss Ashwini Sexena, CEO JAW Foundation, Prof. Shubhrangshu Sangal, CEO IIM Kolkatta, Dr. Jay R Ram, Psychiatrist and Jt. Director, Mental Health Foundation, Mr Saikat Basu, Cheif Mentor Consultivo. In first stage, the presentations of initiatives were shared to the jury members on email and selected few were called to Kolkata for final presentation in front of jury and later awards were announced.
Last year SEVA had won skoch order of merit award at New Delhi.
