Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ Gears Up for a Stellar Opening: Advance Ticket Sales Near 1.4 Lac
Mumbai, 18th December 2023: With just three days left until its release, anticipation for the movie ‘Dunki’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, and Vicky Kaushal is reaching a fever pitch. The advance booking for ‘Dunki’ has witnessed an impressive surge, with a staggering 144,186 tickets already sold for 6,394 shows scheduled for its opening day on December 21. This pre-booking frenzy hints at an estimated collection of over ₹4.45 crore on its debut day.
What adds an extra edge to the box office battle is the clash with Prabhas-starrer ‘Salaar: Ceasefire’ on December 22. The Hindi version of ‘Salaar’ has also made a notable dent in advance ticket sales, with 16,000 tickets already purchased, amounting to ₹55 lakh. Despite ‘Dunki’ not being a typical action-packed film, its remarkable pre-sales have caught the attention of trade analysts, with Ramesh Bala highlighting the sale of 100,000 tickets in advance.
Director Rajkumar Hirani, along with the film’s stellar cast, recently took the promotion of ‘Dunki’ to Dubai, where Shah Rukh Khan shared intriguing insights into the movie’s theme, centered around concepts of home and heart.
