Shastri Group of Institutes Marks 25 Years with Silver Jubilee Celebration in Pune

Pune, 11th August 2026: Shastri Group of Institutes (SGI), Pune, marked the completion of 25 years with a Silver Jubilee celebration held at Buntara Bhavan, Baner, on Monday. The event brought together students, faculty members, staff, alumni, parents and guests to commemorate the institution’s journey since its establishment in 2001.

The programme was attended by Chief Guests Dr. Balaram Sharma and Dr. Shashibala Sharma, along with Guest of Honour B. L. Joshi.

The celebration included recognition of long-serving employees, staff members receiving Best Employee Awards and students being presented with Kaushal Awards for their achievements, skills and overall performance.

Staff members associated with SGI for more than 20 years were specially honoured for their long-standing service to the institution. The Chairman of SGI, while addressing the gathering, recalled the institution’s development and milestones over the past 25 years and acknowledged the contributions of faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni and other members associated with its journey.

The institution also presented the Excellence in Education Award to Madulika Bhatnagar, Principal of Prestige Public School, SSC, recognising her contribution to education and her association with SGI since 2001.

The Distinguished Mentor Award was conferred on Dr. Mr. Patkar for his association with SGI since 2001. He has served as a mentor and advisor to the institution and its students and currently continues his association with SGI as an Advisor.

Another highlight of the programme was the launch of SGI’s magazine, Odyssey – An Aspiring Educational Journey. The publication documents the institution’s educational journey, achievements, experiences and future aspirations.

Addressing the students, B. L. Joshi urged them to focus beyond marks and degrees and develop knowledge, practical skills, resilience, leadership and problem-solving abilities. He also emphasised purposeful use of technology, continuous learning and staying connected with values.

Chief Guest Dr. Balaram Sharma encouraged students to remain focused on their goals, build confidence and make responsible choices in their academic and professional lives.

The programme also featured cultural presentations and reflections on SGI’s 25-year journey.

The Silver Jubilee celebration concluded with acknowledgements to the institution’s early teams, long-serving employees, faculty and staff, students, alumni, parents, mentors and well-wishers who have been associated with SGI over the years.
