Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team Dominates Stage 1 at the PanAfrica Rally
September 24, 2019: The 275 kilometer special stage of the PanAfrica Rally 2019 saw Sherco TVS Rally Factory having a successful outing at the end of Day 2 with Michael leading the race at P1, followed by Lorenzo and Adrien at P2 and P3 respectively. Johnny Aubert has gained substantial lead in the Rally and is placed at P6. Abdul Wahid Tanveer unfortunately suffered an injury during the Stage 1, and had to abandon the Rally at the prologue stage.
Commenting on the performance David Casteu, Team Manager, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team said, “We are happy to see the Metge brothers taking lead in the Rally. Lorenzo is extremely consistent with his performance and is riding in a perfect pace. Johnny is in the process of understanding the machine with an honourable result. It’s a delight to watch the team retaining pole positions in the Rally.”
Michael Metge, Racer, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team said, “After a strong start yesterday I was able to gain momentum in the Rally. Riding through the dunes is tough but I am confident that we will navigate smoothly and continue to perform in this Rally.”
The next stage of the six-day Rally will begin today and will cover 290 kilometers around Merzouga.
