City girl wins the prestigious crown of Mrs India Queen of Substance 2018

Pune, May 12, 2018: City girl Shivani Naik Shah recently added another feather in her cap by winning the prestigious crown of “Mrs India Queen of Substance 2018”, a pageant recently held in Delhi for honoring the Indian women achievers. The fashion quotient witnessed during the pageant was all things grand and elegant. The jury panel consisted of eminent personalities from various fields such as Bollywood diva Mahima Choudhary, Evergreen Miss India Poonam Dhilon, Directors Ritika Vinay amd Vinay Yadawa, Liet. Rita Gangwani (Pageant coach of Miss World), Dr. Shishir Palasapure, Dr. Dipti Dhillon, Dr. Aditi Bhatnagar, Dr. Varun Katyal, Dr. Sharad Kohli and Pammy Kaul.

The show was judged by various experts from the glamour and fashion industry and also witnessed the participation of forty eight divas from countries like Canada, UK, Britain and India. The contestants were judged on the basis of the several rounds such as the fitness/talent/ cultural rounds etc. which were conducted over the span of three days.

Shivani Naik Shah was crowned as ‘Mrs. India Queen of Substance 2018‘ by Mahima Choudhary, Poonam Dhillon and Mrs. Bhavana Bahl Malhotra (the outgoing Mrs. India Queen of Substance 2017-2018) . She also won the crown for “Mrs. Famous”, a coveted subtitle in the pageant for being congenial, approachable and an inspiration . Talking about her journey, Shivani says It was a great achievement on winning this pageant and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my family, mentors and well wishers.”

In the past she has also participated in several leading pageants, to name a few are- top finalist of the Miss Universe India 2012 now known as Miss Diva, she was the top finalist for Mrs India Earth 2017 which honors women with contribution to the environment and nature, and also was awarded the prestigious Shri Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship for the period 2005 – 2009 for ‘Excellent Academic & Extracurricular Performance in School and College’. She is also an advisor to Government of India and Government of Maharashtra for improving the rank of our country India in the ‘Ease of Doing Business 2018 ranking and Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.

Recently, she was honoured as a ‘Women Achiever’ by Lokmat Group’s Sakhi Manch, one of the largest women forums in the world, for her outstanding achievements till date. She was also felicitated with ‘Manacha feta’ and the title of ‘The Great Maharashtrian Award’ by Swarkul Foundation on 29th April 2018, an honor given to people with notable achievements and contribution to society for various causes.

She is active as a Trustee for The Wishing Factory, an NGO supporting medical care for Cancer and Thalassemia patients and volunteers with Robin Hood Army for feeding and teaching slum children.

With all this success and achievement, Shivani has no plans of stopping and wishes to use this opportunity to be a part of many more fashion and modeling projects in the future and give back to the society for causes related to education, medical facilities and self development to underprivileged children and youth.
