SIR: Pune District Publishes Draft Electoral Rolls for All 21 Assembly Constituencies

Pune, 31st August 2026: The Pune district administration on Monday published the draft electoral rolls for all 21 Assembly constituencies in the district as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls being conducted on the directions of the Election Commission of India.
The draft rolls were published in the presence of Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi. Deputy District Election Officer Minal Kalaskar, Tehsildar Sheetal Mule and representatives of political parties were also present.
According to the district administration, Pune district had 90,80,173 registered voters before the commencement of the Special Intensive Revision. The draft electoral rolls prepared under the exercise now include 62,13,692 voters, comprising 31,51,297 men, 30,62,012 women and 383 third-gender voters.
Seven additional polling stations
The number of polling stations in the district has increased by seven to 8,424.
The constituency-wise distribution of polling stations is as follows:

Over 28 lakh enumeration forms classified as uncollectable
According to the ASD (Absent, Shifted, Deceased and Duplicate) list, 28,66,481 enumeration forms have been classified as uncollectable.
This includes:
Duplicate voters: 1,43,975
Deceased voters: 3,12,048
Absent voters: 17,83,058
Migrated voters: 5,91,038
Others: 36,362
The district administration said hearings will be conducted for voters whose details show discrepancies or whose records have not been mapped to the 2002 electoral roll.
Among the 62,11,950 voters in the relevant draft roll data, 5,77,821 have discrepancies, while 7,54,597 have not been mapped. This amounts to 13,32,418 cases requiring hearings, according to the administration.
Following the hearings, a decision will be taken on whether the names of the concerned voters should be included in the final electoral roll.
Claims and objections can be filed till September 30
The period for filing claims and objections against the draft electoral rolls has been fixed from August 31 to September 30, 2026. Voters can submit claims and objections to the concerned Electoral Registration Officers during this period.
The administration will process the claims and objections between August 31 and October 29, 2026, while the final electoral rolls are scheduled to be published on November 4, 2026.
Voters whose names are missing from the draft electoral roll can apply for fresh registration using Form 6. Objections to the inclusion of a name can be filed through Form 7, while Form 8 can be used for corrections in the electoral roll and for matters related to the EPIC (Elector Photo Identity Card).
For voters whose details differ from the available records or who have “No Linkage” with the 2002 electoral roll, hearings will be conducted at the level of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer concerned with the relevant electoral roll part.
Draft rolls available online and at offices
The draft electoral rolls for all 21 Assembly constituencies have been made available at the offices of the respective Electoral Registration Officers, the Pune Collectorate and the offices of district presidents of recognised political parties.
The rolls can also be accessed through the Pune district administration’s official website, pune.gov.in. They are also available on the Election Commission of India’s ECINET and Voter Service Portal (https://voters.eci.gov.in/download-eroll), the district administration said.
