Six female attendants from Sassoon Hospital felicitated for their selfless service

Pune, October 2, 2019: Six female hospital attendants from Sassoon Hospital were felicitated and awarded with ‘Utkrushta Seva Sanman Puraskar’ for their self-less service on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at B.J. Medical College, Pune.

Amanora Yess Foundation felicitated the female attendants including Shehnaj Shaikh, Shanta Kadam, Ujwala Kambale, Sushila Sakat, Geeta Wadar and Madhura Shitole who have been associated with Sassoon hospital since many years. These attendants were selected on the basis of their contribution and work at the hospital and were presented with Rs, 11,000, a saree and a trophy.

Dignitaries including Aniruddha Deshpande, Managing Director, Amanora Park Town and City Corporation, Dr Ajay Chandanwale, Dean, B.J. Medical college, Dr. Murlidhar Tambe, Deputy Dean, B.J. Medical college, Rajshree Korke, Matron, B.J. Medical college were present at the event.

Accordingly, three underprivileged girl students, who study nursing in the college were also felicitated at the program. Students including Deekshita Jichkar of second year, Sandhya Gayal of third year and Priyanka Shirse of fourth year were presented with scholarship of Rs 15,000 by the foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, Aniruddha Deshpande said, “For me, the nurses and attendants too play a very significant role like doctors while caring for patients. My mother got enrolled for a nursing course at B.J. Medical college in 1956-57 and later worked in the same profession for over 30 years. I guess the attendants should get all the respect they deserve.”
