Speaking on the occasion Gajanan Sakhare Founder Smart Cloud Infotech Pvt ltd said that after the success of Nirbhaya App we launched the smart commute solution in 2013 keeping in mind safety of women employees in areas like kharadi, hinjewadi and outskirts of Pune . Then the Smart Commute was launched as a comprehensive technology solution for Employee CommuteS afety which helps track employees and vehicles during regular commute and also helps employees reach to transport management teams efficiently in case of a SOS situation. SmartCommute comes with a mobile application for cabs, RFID integrated GPS systems for Cabs, mobile application for employees, automated risk management server deployed on cloud and specialized software to manage and operate the 24×7 mission control room. Leveraging Smart Commute, several large IT companies have already seen significant increase in employee on time arrival, employee safety and operational cost efficiencies.

We primarily started as a technology company but we needed expertise in fleet management which was not really our domain. With this strategic alliance – SmartCloud gets a strong partner for helping it manage fleet operations for corporates across multiple cities including Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore. SmartCloud and Prasanna Purple will jointly also explore opportunities in other Community Transport verticals such as last mile logistics and B2C space of employee transport. SmartCloud has been strong in IT, ITeSspace, with Prasanna Purple, SmartCloud will also get a strong presence in employee commute space for manufacturing organizations.
He added that Prasanna Patwardhan with his rich experience of more than twenty five years will give Smart Cloud an edge in providing Safe, Efficient, Reliable and Green “Community Transport” options to Corporate and IT companies
Gajanan Sakhare added that The company recently completed Seed Funding round of USD 2 million (Approximately 12 crore) which includes investors from US, India and Japan. The company is working on raising series A in next few months. Various IT and ITeS customers in cities like Pune, Bangalore and NCR are currently using SmartCommute. In NCR, SmartCommute is integrated with Delhi Police’s women safety solution Himmat. Company plans to grow it’s vehicle fleet through it’s preferred partner network to 1000 vehicles across 3 cities by March 2016. The company will explore series A investment options starting December 2015.
Prasanna Patwardhan said that this strategic alliance will bring together more in terms of increased safety, reliability and convenience for customers .
