Solapur Railway Hospital’s Advanced Dental Clinic Treats Over 4,000 Patients in Three Months
Solapur, 19th January 2026: The Advanced Dental Clinic at Dr. Kotnis Memorial Railway Hospital, Solapur, under the Solapur Division of Central Railway, has recorded significant clinical activity since it became operational on December 30, 2024.
According to hospital data, the clinic has attended to more than 4,000 out-patient department (OPD) cases and carried out over 1,000 dental procedures within a short period of its functioning. During this time, no patients were referred to private dental facilities for treatment.
The clinic provides a range of specialised dental services within the railway healthcare system. These include dental implant procedures, single-visit root canal treatments and surgical management of wisdom teeth.
Patients have accessed the facility from multiple locations across Central Railway and South Western Railway zones. Beneficiaries from various parts of Maharashtra, including Pune, Latur, Dharashiv, Kurduvadi, Pandharpur, Miraj, Sangli and Kolhapur, as well as from Karnataka districts such as Kalaburagi, Hubballi, Vijayapura and Bagalkot, have sought treatment at the clinic.
Apart from routine dental care, the clinic has handled emergency cases involving facial and dental injuries. The dental team has also participated in outreach activities, including dental camps conducted at Kurduvadi Railway Hospital.
The Advanced Dental Clinic functions under the Solapur Division of Central Railway at Dr. Kotnis Memorial Railway Hospital and operates with support from the divisional medical administration.
