Special Bharat Gaurav Train to Depart from Pune for Kumbh Mela on 15th January
Pune/Prayagraj, 31st December 2024: A special Bharat Gaurav train will depart from Pune for the Kumbh Mela on 15th January at approximately 10 PM, as announced by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Tourism Manager Subhash Nair. This service is part of the Central Government’s Dekho Apna Desh campaign, which has already facilitated 86 trains across the country to boost domestic tourism.
Another special train will also depart from Pune on the same day, heading to Uttar Pradesh’s Kumbh Mela. Further details were shared during a press conference at Pune Railway Station, attended by Pune Division Regional Manager Gururaj Sonna.
Nair highlighted that the train will offer full amenities, including security personnel, CCTV surveillance, and food services. At the Kumbh Mela site, a tent city with essential facilities will be provided. The journey, lasting seven nights and eight days, will cover Pune, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya. The train will consist of seven sleeper cars, three third AC coaches, one second AC coach, and a pantry car. Passengers are encouraged to make use of this service.
