Pune, 29th April 2024: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi gears up to address a meeting at the racecourse in Pune in light of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, a unique and symbolic gesture awaits him. This time, the Mahayuti has prepared a special ‘Digvijay Pagadi’ to adorn the Prime Minister’s head, crafted by Murudkar Zendewale based on BJP leader Murlidhar Mohol’s concept.

The ‘Digvijay Pagadi’ is not just an accessory but a representation of historical valor and tradition. Designed in a traditional antique style, it is adorned with intricate details. Pune Lok Sabha candidate Mohol shed light on the significance of this distinctive turban, stating, “The top of this special turban is embellished with a string of pearls, auspicious symbols, and Panchdhatu, depicting the image of Tulja Bhawani. It symbolizes the concept of Digvijay, reminiscent of the seven-horse stage of victory. Hence, it has been aptly named ‘Digvijay Yoddha Pagdi’.”

Mohol emphasized the historical importance of the turban, reflecting the valor and bravery of the Marathi tradition. He expressed, “Modiji has visited Pune on numerous occasions, each time welcomed with different turbans. However, today’s turban holds a special significance, representing the spirit of Digvijay and the indomitable courage ingrained in our Marathi heritage.”

In addition to the ‘Digvijay Pagadi’, Prime Minister Modi will also be greeted with heartfelt warmth. Mohol announced plans to welcome PM Modi by presenting an equestrian statue and the sword of the founder of Hindvi Swarajya, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
