Spider-Man Brand New Day Crosses $2.33 Billion, Enters All-Time Top 3
New Delhi, 2nd September 2026: Tom Holland-starrer Spider-Man: Brand New Day has entered the top three highest-grossing films of all time after crossing the $2.33 billion mark at the worldwide box office.
The film has overtaken James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water, which finished its theatrical run with around $2.32 billion globally. Brand New Day now sits behind only Avatar and Avengers: Endgame on the all-time worldwide box-office list.
The latest milestone comes after a strong theatrical run for the fourth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland. The movie had already crossed $2 billion worldwide earlier in its run, becoming the first film in the Spider-Man franchise to reach the milestone.
At around $2.33 billion, Brand New Day has now moved ahead of Avatar: The Way of Water, which earned approximately $2.32 billion during its global theatrical run. The film’s current position puts it among a very small group of movies to have crossed the $2 billion mark.
The film has also continued to perform strongly in North America. During its fifth weekend, Brand New Day remained at the top of the domestic box office, adding around $22.2 million and taking its domestic total to approximately $891.5 million.
With its latest numbers, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has moved ahead of several major blockbusters and established itself as the highest-grossing Spider-Man film globally.
The only two films currently ahead of it are Avatar, with around $2.92 billion worldwide, and Avengers: Endgame, with approximately $2.80 billion.
