Pune, October 19, 2020: Final year students of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), who had their online examination scheduled on Monday, continued facing technical difficulties on the sixth day of examination also.

However, this time the limits were pushed when the server went down after submitting the test. This has caused chaos and confusion amongst the students.

The test for all departments began at 1 pm, which was supposed to end by 2 pm. “As soon as the test ended, candidates clicked on the ‘submit’ button but it was displaying a server error. Students had to give a new test after some time with a different question set again for another 60 minutes”, said Kamalakar Shete, founder of SPPU Student Union Wing.

He further said, “The university administration is requested to ask the concerned company to resolve these issues. Even after making repeated complaints, there are problems, so action should be taken against the company.”

The final year students flooded social media with complaints. “My test did not get submitted today so I attempted again and the same issue occurred. The website crashed during the process and now it shows that I have not tried the test even though I have attempted it twice and submitted it”, said another student, Ankit Khandekar.

Srayoshee Das, a student, said, “Couldn’t submit my answers at the last moment the page stopped responding. Please solve this issue. Do the needful.”

Meanwhile, many students complained about poor technical support. “Not a single call is connected. How am I supposed to solve this problem”, asked student Ravindra Chavan.

Shete has released a video in this regard and has pleaded to take action against the hired company, Wheelbox.
