Start PMPML Bus Service From Pune Station To Lonavla, Corporator Jyotsna Ekbote Writes To PMPML CMD

Pune, 28 August 2021: The local train service connecting Lonavla and Pune city has not started smoothly for the last few months due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID19) pandemic.

Corporator Jyotsna Ekbote has demanded bus service from Pune station to Lonavla and from Nigdi to Lonavla as many workers, traders, students and staff from different areas are facing inconvenience due to this. Ekbote has written a letter to the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) chairman in this regard.

Pimpri Chinchwad city is connected to Pune city through various bus routes. The PMPML bus service from Nigdi to Kamshet has been running for many years. It needs to be extended to Malavali and Lonavla only (Route No. 368).

The citizens have to face the problem of transportation. Many people have to commute to Pune daily from the Lonavla area by two-wheeler or four-wheeler for their livelihood. Many citizens and staff are facing health problems due to daily travel by these vehicles. They also lead to an increase in the pollution level of the cities.

Considering all these factors, bus service from Pune station to Lonavla and from Nigdi to Lonavla should be started, Ekbote has demanded.
