State Board Appoints Counselors for Class 10 and 12 Students Amid Exam Stress

Pune, 5th February 2025: To help students cope with stress during the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board examinations, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has appointed counselors who will provide free guidance on stress management.
State Board Secretary Dr. Madhuri Savarkar announced in a press release that the initiative aims to support students struggling with exam-related anxiety and negative thoughts. The Class 12 exams will be conducted from February 11 to March 18, while the Class 10 exams will take place from February 21 to March 17 across the state’s nine zonal boards, including Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan.
Recognizing the mental pressure students face during exams, the State Board has set up a dedicated helpline service where students can seek counseling from 8 AM to 8 PM before and during the examination period. However, the board has clarified that the counselors will strictly address stress management concerns and will not entertain queries related to exam centers, seating arrangements, or question papers.
