Stay Safe Online Campaign To Be Conducted For Awareness About Cyber Security
Pune, 13th January 2023: In the wake of the G-20 summit in India, a campaign – Stay Safe Online – will be conducted throughout the year to create awareness about cyber security. In line with this, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has directed to take action on cyber security in higher education institutions.
UGC Secretary Prof. Rajnish Jain released a circular on the website. In the wake of the G-20 summit, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will launch an awareness campaign – Stay Safe Online. It aims to promote the safe use of social media, digital financial transactions and the internet among various age groups, including students and youth.
According to the circular, creating awareness about cybercrime and online threats through regional languages, including Hindi and English, is the best solution.
