Strengthening the entrepreneur in women, Two day FICCI –FLO Bazaar kick starts in Pune
Pune 21 January 2015 : As a part of its prime objective of women empowerment, FICCI-FLO the women’s wing of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) has organized a two day exhibition to promote entrepreneurship and professional excellence on 21 and 22nd January 2016 at Hyatt Regency in Viman Nagar,Pune.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Amruta Fadnavis in presence of Social reformer, Sindhutai Sapkal. FICCI-FLO Pune chapter chairperson Varsha Talera, Convenor for FLO Ritu Chhabria , Anila Shirole, Usha Kakade, Sunetra Pawar, Sabina Sanghvi amongst others were present at the inauguration.
The two day exhibition will showcase unique products from women entrepreneurs and NGOs including jewelry, clothes, beauty and healthcare products, apparels, accessories, shoes, handbags and much more. Some of the brands participating are Rudraksh, Gems& Jewels, Janavi Shawls, Isharya, etc and three special NGO’s will have their stalls put up, M Rm Rm Foundation (Chennai), Helping Hands, Kasbi Bandhej (Bhuj) and Purkal Stree Shakti (Dehradun).
The proceeds of the exhibition will be used for women empowerment programs of FLO Pune chapter. The exhibition will be open from 10 am – 8 pm on 22 Jan 2016.
Amruta Fadnavis said that for an idea to be conceived,we need a good ecosystem. The recent Government initiative for Startups, special incentives for start ups and women entrepreneurs will give momentum to the development of the nation. “No country can develop with women empowerment. We should create a platform for women to excel. A woman has the tenderness of a lamp. She has intelligence equal to a man and she can pursue great heights. I believe that everything is not possible but anything is possible. So let’s dare to dream big and bring about a sea change,” she added.
Varsha Talera in her welcome address said that the FLO Pune Chapter was inaugurated an year ago at the hands of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Throughout the year we have been conducting various women empowerment programs at grass root level including program for girls at ITI, training of women drivers, Swaya an initiative to help women start their own business etc .
Sindhutai Sapkal, who is the mother of 1042 orphans and has been honoured with around 755 awards till date, said that going through all the tough times I realized that we should keep moving forward but also look back and help those in distress or need.
She quoted, “मंजिल बहुत दूर है, जाना वहा जरूर है. रासता मुशकील है, मरना मंजूर है. मगर शेर जैसे मरेंगे ना.”
Sindhutai who is also known as ‘Mai’ addressed Usha Kakde saying, “फुलांच्या पयगड्यान्वरुन चालताना काटे बोचले तर सहन करायला शिक बाळ, कारण काट्यांना बोचणं माहीती असते, वेदना कळतच नसतात. तुम्ही तुमचे पाय घट्ट करा की एक दिवस काटे तुम्हाला सांगतील ‘आइये वेलकम सूस्वगतम. हम झुकते है, तुम चलना सिखों. हम झुकते है तुम चलना सिखों ‘
