Students should give active contribution in building New India-Governor
4th Convocation ceremony held at Jagran Lake City University

The Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel has told students to give their active contribution to build a New India. They should become capable and responsible citizens to prove this. This was said by the Governor in her address at the 4th convocation ceremony of the Jagran Lake City University today. On this occasion, she presented honorary degrees to Prof. Ranveer Singh, the Vice Chancellor of NLIU, New Delhi and to the Deputy Consul General of Germany in India, Sushri Maya Yaining and also presented degrees to the meritorious students.
The Governor, Smt. Patel has told parents that they should not discriminate between their daughters and sons and become vigilant towards them and keep an eye on their activities to ensure that they should not follow the wrong path. It is essential for the parents that they should have faith in competency of their children and always inspire them to move forward. She mentioned that convocation ceremony is a celebration of tradition, faith and victory. This reflects the end of one stage of life of the students and beginning of the next stage. This is a proud moment for the meritorious students, parents and teachers in which everyone has performed their duties with dedication.
Moreover, the Governor has told the students that the University has not only prepared them at the academic level but to render help in other fields too, so that they should serve the society and nation for its development. This should be utilized by them to regain the status of the Vishva Guru for India. Smt. Patel further told the students that they should save water and food by consuming them as per the need. This is the biggest service to the nation and humanity, she added.
The Chancellor of the University Shri Harimohan Gupta said that there is no other thing but knowledge which makes heart clean and pure. Education has a big importance in life. He further stated that life is incomplete without education. Education is the biggest treasure of life, everything ends but education is everlasting.
The Governor administered oath at the convocation ceremony to the meritorious students. The welcome speech was delivered by the Vice Chancellor of the university Dr. Anup Swaroop. The Pro-Chancellor of the University Shri Abhishek Mohan Gupta, teachers, students and eminent citizens were present at the convocation ceremony.
