Sunil Deodhar: A Multifaceted Literary and Broadcasting Icon, Celebrates His Birthday Today

Pune, 21st July 2024: Sunil Deodhar, a distinguished personality known for his extensive contributions to literature and broadcasting, celebrates his birthday today.
As a writer, Deodhar’s talents span poetry, songs, essays, analysis, adaptations, and translations. His notable works include “Likhi Kagad Kore,” “Mohan se Mahatma,” “Samvadon ke Aaine Mein,” and “Bade Anmol, Geeton ke Bol,” some of which are included in the syllabus of prestigious institutes in Pune. He serves on the Board of Studies for the Hindi department at Modern College and Ferguson College, Pune.
Deodhar is also celebrated as a consummate radio broadcaster, with his captivating voice and presentation skills winning widespread acclaim. His prowess as a Hindi translator of Marathi works is evident in his translations of “Majha Pravas,” “Katha ISRO Chi,” and the play “Pahije Jatiche,” as well as his poetic collection “Nidra Naash.”
His skill and achievements have earned him numerous awards, including the “Marathi Hindi Bhashi Lekhak” award from the Government of Maharashtra. Deodhar has also received the “Sauhard Samman” from Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan, the “Anand Rishi Sahitya Nidhi Samman” in Hyderabad, the “Bharat Nirman” award in New Delhi, and honors from various other literary organizations.
