Suspended Officer Ranjeet Kasale Alleges Election Bribery And Irregularities Upon Return To Pune; Arrested By Beed Police

Pune, 18th April 2025: In a sensational turn of events, suspended police officer Ranjeet Kasale reignited controversy upon his arrival at Pune Airport on Thursday (17th April) night, levelling explosive allegations against senior political figures. Kasale claimed that he was offered ₹10 lakh to remain silent during the last state assembly elections and accused Dhananjay Munde of winning his seat through unlawful means.
Speaking to the media at the airport, Kasale alleged that the funds were transferred to his account specifically to keep him away from Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and to ensure his silence. “On polling day, ₹10 lakh was deposited into my account. Of that, I returned ₹7.5 lakh. The remaining amount was used for personal expenses,” Kasale stated, naming the Sant Balu Mama Construction Company—owned by Valmik Karad—as the source of the funds. The firm, he added, is operated in partnership with Mahadev Karad and an associate named Kale.
Kasale’s allegations stirred political waters just hours before his arrest. After arriving from Delhi, he checked into a hotel in Pune’s Swargate area and informed the police of his intention to surrender. He specifically requested Pune police to ensure his safe transfer to the Beed police, under whose jurisdiction his case falls. However, before he could formally surrender, a team from the Beed police apprehended him early Friday (18th April) morning from the hotel, as confirmed by CCTV footage circulating on social media.
This incident follows an earlier viral video in which Kasale had claimed he was offered a contract to encounter Valmik Karad, adding another layer of intrigue to his narrative. After these claims, Kasale had gone missing, only to reappear dramatically in Pune with renewed accusations and a stated willingness to cooperate with the law.
Notably, Kasale also reiterated his claim that Dhananjay Munde’s election victory from Parli constituency was not legitimate. He stated, “I was deployed in Parli during the election. Munde was elected through improper means. That’s the truth the public must know.”
