Symbiosis student commits suicide in Pune

Pune – A 22-year-old MBA student of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Khadki, allegedly committed suicide by jumping off from the sixth floor of a residential building in Hadapsar on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Harshvardhan Singh Raghav, a native of Raipur, Chattisgarh. He has reportedly left a suicide note but the reason is not clear, police said.

Police officials said that his father is an Army officer. The youth had come to his local guardian’s house on the weekend. He had stayed there at night and early on Monday morning jumped off the sixth floor of the building.

Hadapsar police station is further investigating the case.

The college officials said that he was under treatment for depression. He had also remained absent on several occasions.
