Tanushri to lead Junior Hockey Maharashtra
Pune, 4th August 2025: Yavatmal-lass Tanushri Kadu will lead an 18-men Hockey Maharashtra squad at the 15th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship 2025 at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Diksha Shinde has been named Vice Captain of the team.
The tournament will be played from 1 to 12 August 2025.
The squad was announced after a long preparatory cum preparation camp at the PCMC Hockey Stadium, Nehrunagar. Later the team was announced by Hockey Maharashtra, General Secretary, Manish S. Anand.
Hockey Maharashtra are placed in Group-D alongside Hockey Association Andhra Pradesh and Hockey Association of Odisha. Four groups of three teams each make up the draw.
Hockey Maharashtra takes on Hockey Association of Odisha on 6 August (at 4 p.m) in their first match and later plays Hockey Association Andhra Pradesh on 7 August (at 3.30 p.m).
The top two teams from each group will qualify into the quarter-finals which will be played on 9 August, followed by the two semifinals on 10 August (1.00 p.m and 3.00 p.m) respectively, thereafter the losing semifinalists on 12 August (at 1.00 p.m) followed by the finals on the same day at 3.00 p.m will conclude the tournament.
Overall Hockey Maharashtra find themselves in Pool-A of the tournament.
