Tata Consultancy Services: 75 percent of TCS employees to permanently work from home by 2025
New Delhi, April 25, 2020: The story of world change has started after Coronavirus outbreak. India’s largest IT Company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is working on a plan from ‘Work from Home’ by 2025. Top officials of the company said that TCS will plan for 2025 i.e. for the next five years in such a way that only 25% of its employees are present in the office.
According to the news published in the English business newspaper Economic Times, TCS feels that this plan will make it more productive and will also save the time of the employees. Currently, around 90 per cent of all IT companies, including all IT companies, are working from home and the way work culture is changing after COVID19, more IT companies are working on the model of work from home.
TCS currently has about 4.5 lakh employees. And about 93% of the employees of the company are providing their services globally. According to company officials, they will prepare the future infrastructure according to the employees and their work.
Indian software body NASSCOM also believes that an epidemic like COVID19 has forced IT companies around the world to think about how important it is to create a concept of work from home in future. The companies will decide the number of employees who should be called office, but it has become very important to create a balance between office and work from home.
IT companies’ work culture
Actually, IT companies take care of data around the world, which is very sensitive. In addition, they provide technical support to all the companies of the world, and their work is extensive. There are many IT companies in India, which have big branches abroad.
About 20 years ago Indian IT companies started ODS (Offshore Development Center). These were the centers which used to have very private data and only those people were allowed to come to these offices who were approved by the company.
