Territorial Army Recruitment 2025 Begins; Over 1,500 Posts Announced
Pune, 15th November 2025: In a significant opportunity for defence aspirants across the country, the Territorial Army (TA) has rolled out a massive recruitment campaign starting today, opening more than 1,500 posts in 22 states and Union Territories. The 2025 recruitment cycle includes positions for Soldier General Duty (GD), Soldier Clerk, Technical Trades, and several specialised trades.
The application process is entirely online, and both men and women can apply through the official portal www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
The Territorial Army has announced openings for a wide range of posts:

Soldier Clerk: 792
Soldier (Survey): 6
Soldier (Chef Special): 1
Soldier (Cook Service): 2
Soldier (Rallywai): 2
Soldier (Campwire Battalion): 2
Soldier (Tailor): 1
House Crew Boy: 10
Soldier (Mess): 4
Soldier (Carpenter – Wood): 2
Soldier (Health Treasurer): 3
The Territorial Army has divided the rally schedule into three windows:
November 15 – December 14, 2025:
Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan
November 28 – December 10, 2025:
Haryana, Delhi
November 15 – December 1, 2025:
Kerala, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Goa, Telangana, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Puducherry
Eligibility Requirements
Education: Minimum qualification ranges from 8th to 12th standard, depending on the post.
Age Limit: 18 to 45 years for all applicants.
Salary: Pay and allowances will be provided as per the standard Indian Army pay matrix for the appointed rank.
Selection Process
The recruitment procedure will be completed in three stages, and candidates must clear each step to move to the next:
Physical Fitness Test
Comprehensive Medical Examination
Written Test — conducted only for candidates who qualify the first two rounds.
A final merit list will be prepared based on the written examination, and selected candidates will receive appointment orders. Attendance at the recruitment rally is compulsory.
