Thane : Crane Collapses On Samruddhi Expressway In Thane, 16 Killed And 3 Injured
Thane 1st August 2023: In a tragic incident reported at Shahpur Tehsil in Thane, a crane collapsed on an under construction bridge on Samruddhi Expressway in which 16 people have been killed while 3 have sustained injuries. Four people are still feared trapped under the debris.
The incident took place at around 12:10 am Tuesday near Vill Khutadi Sarlambe, Shahpur in Thane district. The rescue teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been rushed to the incident site.
“Today an unfortunate incident happened at Shahapur Tehsil of Thane District on under construction Samruddhi Expressway in which one Crane fell on Slab of Bridge in which two teams of NDRF are working on the site. Till now 16 dead bodies have been retrieved and 03 have been injured” NDRF officials said.
