Thane Defeats Pune 1-0 to Reach WIFA Inter District Finals; Pune Faces Raigad for Third Place

Pune, 5th June 2024: Pune played out a hard-fought match and bowed 0-1 to Thane and exited from the Western India Football Association (WIFA) Inter District Football Championship Junior Girls at Boisar, Palghar on Wednesday.

Playing after a day-break, Pune played Thane in the first of the two semi finals scheduled for the day. With both teams leaving no room for error, Thane finally struck the match-winner through a late effort by Harleen Kaur.

Pune will now take on Raigad in the third place play off on Thursday followed by Kolhapur facing Thane in the final.
