There are 90 bungalows in Deccan Gymkhana Colony and Prabhat Road, part of Bhandarkar Road comes under the colony. The road was open from Gokhale Smarak Chowk for the residents of Suvarna Smruti Mangal office premises. Residents had to take a turn from Gokhale Smarak Chowk to the colony as it was restricted to take a turn from Champion Sports Street on the road from Khandoji Baba Chowk to Gokhale Smarak Chowk. Kishor Godbole, a member of the Deccan Gymkhana Colony Panchayat, said that the residents were facing problems due to the vehicles being parked in the narrow lane. Residents had complained that vehicles should not be allowed in the lane. The problems were raised in a statement to the then Commissioner of Police Rashmi Shukla.
