Pune, 9th June 2025: Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Dr. Sandeep Bhajibhakare has ordered the suspension of three traffic police personnel from the Khadak Traffic Division for abandoning their designated posts and operating from an unauthorized location.

The suspended officers have been identified as Police Constables Santosh Chandrakant Yadav, Balaji Vitthal Pawar, and Monika Praveen Karanjkar. Each traffic personnel is assigned a specific chowk (intersection) and main road within their jurisdiction to ensure smooth regulation of vehicular movement. However, a routine review revealed that these constables had violated protocol.

On May 15, Constable Yadav was officially posted at S.P. Mahavidyalaya Chowk on Tilak Road, Pawar at Hirabagh Chowk, and Karanjkar at Bhave Chowk. Instead of performing their duties at these locations, all three were found at Puram Chowk, where they were seen taking punitive action against drivers — an area outside their assigned jurisdiction.

Following this breach of duty, DCP Dr. Bhajibhakare ordered their immediate suspension, citing serious negligence and non-compliance with deployment orders.
