Pune, April 30 – Toyota, the Japanese automaker, known for its range of cars, sedans, MPVs, and SUVs in India, faces significant demand for its vehicles, leading to considerable waiting periods. Toyota has reopened bookings for a specific variant of its MPV due to substantial demand in the Indian market. According to the company, Toyota Rumion’s CNG variant in the budget MPV segment is the one with reopened bookings, following a temporary halt in September 2023 due to high demand.

Toyota offers the Rumion MPV with both petrol and CNG options. The CNG variant is equipped with a 1.5-liter K-series engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Delivering 64.6 kilowatts and 121.5 Newton meters of torque, this MPV can run up to 26.11 kilometers per kilogram of CNG, as per the company’s claims.

The CNG variant of Toyota Rumion boasts a range of features, including 15-inch wheels, 60:40 split seats, 50:50 split seats in the third row, a dual-tone interior, halogen projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, roof-mounted AC, remote keyless entry, steering-mounted audio and calling controls, dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, ESP, hill hold, rear parking sensors, and a 60-liter capacity CNG cylinder.

Toyota has set the ex-showroom price for the CNG variant of this MPV at Rs. 11.39 lakh.
